ABOUT

The International Timber frames Workshop and Production Facility is located in the heart of the British Columbia Kootenay region wood industry –5km south of Golden.

The project is developed to minimize the impact on the land, implement passive design strategies and create linkages with the local wood industry. As a demonstration project and future production facility, this project promotes the use of value-added BC wood products through the construction of living lab as well as growing local and global markets through the production of DLT panels.

The Industrial Demonstration Facility is a design/manufacture/build partnership that demonstrates an integrated prefabricated construction methodology through the design of the facility and the future production of DLT products within the facility.

This project is the recipient of a Natural Resources Canada Wood Innovation Grant.
