Anja Braun

Anja respectfully acknowledges that she lives and works on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples, including the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Anja thrives in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary setting and enjoys working with a variety of personalities and professionals. She has a deep appreciation for design and narrative, sees and illumminates the connections between projects and the people who will enjoy them –making her a natural fit for the team.

Anja brings a wealth of experience to UAA –she holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Communication Design from HBKsaar University of Fine Arts, Germany, and a Master in Design from Emily Carr University. Her broad experience has seen her in roles ranging from communication designer to creative director to marketing and proposal coordinator, and she has managed projects of all sizes.

Growing up and studying for periods in Germany, Anja developed an inherent appreciation for European design. Her extensive travels have exposed her to diverse languages, cultures and places. For the last fifteen years, she’s called the Pacific Northwest home.
